Tanzania safari 2007 - birds

Some birds seen in Northern Tanzania in November 2007

Even with my own personal safari guide, birds were not a priority. Every time I spotted something interesting, I had politely to ask the driver to stop. The guide was apparently not accustomed to guests interersted in feathered creatures, and did not stop for any birds except ostriches.

Several of the poor-quality photos shown here were merely posted for my own sake, to remember the bird diversity in the region and which species I managed to get photos of. I had a Nikon D70 camera with a 300 mm lens. The camera broke when going to Tarangire, so I missed many photo opportunities the last days. On later safari trips I always brought 2 camera bodies, and recommend everyone to do the same.
